Women in Localization was founded in 2008 and is the leading professional organization for women in the localization industry. Its charter is to promote professional development, networking, and continuous education among its rapidly-growing global membership. Started in the San Francisco Bay Area, Women in Localization is currently expanding its membership to include women across the globe, encouraging members to meet in local geographies.
Our purpose is to create a strong place for women to develop their careers in localization. We aim to provide an open, collaborative forum where women can share expertise and experience and help us move forward in our careers.
The role of men in our organization
Women in Localization is a not-for-profit female focused, men inclusive organization. We promote women who work in the localization industry through networking, mentoring, and education. While we focus on women’s success, men are always welcome to any of our events around the world, provided that they support Women in Localization’s mission and policies. Our Mission and Policies can be found here
