DESCRIPTION:WLLA: WHAT THE LOC?\nFirst in a series of events that will shed light inside the black box of loc organizations and job titles.\n\n\n\nWomen in Localization Los Angeles proudly presents… \nWLLA: WHAT THE LOC?\nCareers in localization are diverse\, multilayered and complex. And some paths are still shrouded in mystery\, especially when it comes to the client-vendor divide. So we decided to pull back the curtains by hosting a series of conversations from both sides of the industry across a variety of localization roles. \nEach part of the series will focus on a specific role. We have invited panelists from both the vendor and client side to share their professional development and career paths. Our goal is to empower W.L. members to be the drivers of their professional growth. \nThe first event in the series will be on Localization Project Management. We look forward to insightful conversations with our amazing panelists from Pearson\, Netflix\, CommGap and Bodeux. Obsessed with refining UX and translation quality of consumer products\, and demonstrated this at Trend Micro\, Twitter\, and Tripadvisor. Also worked at various LSPs and as a freelance translator. \n \n森山崇範、デル・テクノロジーズ株式会社\, eServices & Knowledge Management Advisor \n2006年デル・テクノロジーズ入社。前職は出版/技術翻訳関連。日本のテクニカルサポート部門にてサポートエージェント向けナレッジベースのコンテンツ管理を担当後、2009年にグローバルのナレッジマネージメント部門に異動。アジアパシフィック地域での新ナレッジベースツールの導入と、その後のコンテンツ翻訳やツール使用率の向上を担当。2013年に現在の役職に就き、アジアパシフィック地域のリードとしてお客様向けサポートウェブサイトの管理を開始。現在は全言語の翻訳品質、予算管理、機械翻訳の利用拡大、対応言語拡大のプランに注力。 \nTakanori Moriyama\, eServices & Knowledge Management Advisor\, Dell Technologies Inc. \nJoined Dell Technologies in 2006 from the translation/printing industry and started working on the content management on an internal knowledge base and call reduction in the local tech support organization. Moved to the global knowledge management team in 2009 and deployed a new knowledge base tool across APJ\, responsible for the content translation operations and driving the tool usage. Moved on to the current role as an eServices Online Content Advisor in 2013 and manage/maintain the company’s external support web site for APJ.
