SUMMARY:WLSV: Hiring in changing times
DESCRIPTION:The Silicon Valley chapter is excited to announce the first event of 2022!\n\n\nIf there is one thing we’ve learnt during the past months is that the only constant is change.\n \nIn the last two years\, the already ongoing digital revolution topped by the world changing pandemic have shifted and continue to shift our work scenario. A lot of us went from in-office to remote working\, and some of us even moved to a different work location permanently. While some of us are looking forward to returning to the office\, many others would like an opportunity to choose more flexible or hybrid work options between in person and remote. Our work location is becoming less relevant since we can work effectively and efficiently from anywhere. And now\, more recently\, we’re seeing a huge new phenomenon taking center stage: the Great Resignation.\n \n \nHow are companies and hiring managers navigating all these changes and possibilities? Join us for a virtual event where we will discuss these pulsating topics with 3 localization industry experts. We will talk about how they are approaching hiring\, what is the future of working in our industry\, what has changed in the hiring process\, is finding and securing new talent and resources more challenging\, what is accelerating in this scenario and what is more difficult\, and ultimately\, what are the key skills they’re looking for during these unprecedented times (the “new” normal) – what are the gaps that are hard to fill and what are new emerging opportunities? \n\n \n? Date: Thursday\, February 10th 2022\n \n⏰ Time: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM\, Pacific time\n \n? Location: Online (Zoom)\n \n \nIMPORTANT NOTE ON MEMBERSHIP \nAs an organization\, we are changing how people become members of Women in Localization. To make sure you don’t miss important news and can participate to all our future events\, please signup to become a member to our new official channel: https://womeninlocalization.com/sign-up/. \nYou will need to signup through this link even if you have been a member for a long time\, to make sure we update our membership database. If you have any questions\, please contact us at sv.chapter@womeninlocalization.com.
