She began her career as a French to English translator before moving into a project manager role in 2012 at a startup in San Francisco. She went on to work for one of the largest language service providers in the industry as a senior project manager before joining Smartling in 2021. She is now Team Lead for Smartling Language Services. \nValérie Dehant | Senior Director of Language Services\, Smartling \nValérie started her 25-year career in localization as a freelance translator specializing in medical content. After a few years\, she joined SDL’s Montreal operations as an in-house translator and subsequently led their life sciences translation team. Valérie joined Smartling in 2014 and quickly became instrumental in growing the Language Services business. She first led service delivery operations and is now senior director of Languages Services and focuses on vendor management and quality management.
