New Board, New Advisory Board, 10th Anniversary, Non-profit status, Poland Chapter

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., January 10, 2018 / Women in Localization (W.L.), the leading professional organization for women in the localization industry, will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a new leadership, non-profit status momentum, and new chapter expansion in Poland.
Anna Schlegel will now lead Women in Localization as President of the Board. New board members joining this year are Michele Smith leading Global Expansion, and Sonia Oliveira for Partnerships. Loy Searle serving as Vice-President, will represent Mentorship and Education and Eva Klaudinyova will serve as Secretary and lead the Technology stack. Liesl Leary will continue to lead Marketing and Silvia Avary-Silveira continues as Chief Financial Officer and Non-profit Liaison.
For the first time in Women in Localization history, W.L. will have two men on their Advisory Board. In addition, 2017 Chair, Allison McDougall joins the Advisory team advising on sponsorship efforts along with Fabiano Cid. Mimi Hills will continue her focus on Non-profit and Duaine Pryor will continue to support W.L. in its non-profit, strategy, and organizational projects.
W.L. plans to continue their expansion by reaching into Eastern Europe with the addition of their Poland chapter. The chapter is expected to launch at the end of January taking the number of chapters to 13.
“We have a great year ahead, we continue our transition to becoming a non-profit, we are planning a 10 year anniversary, we are expanding our Board of Advisors, we will continue to systematically go global, it is our dream come true!” said Anna Schlegel, President of W.L.
