About the Author:

Founder of Big Tree Global

Melanie has spent much of the last 20 years working out how business can genuinely help tackle humanity's biggest challenges most effectively.

After working initially in senior management for a tech multinational across Europe and Asia Pacific and IT start-ups my path took a different turn - running programmes and an impact business in the Kibera slum in Nairobi. It made me curious to understand better as to how companies can truly help create a better future when it comes to climate change, poverty, pollution and rising inequality.

Roll on another 10 years of in depth research (which received an award, nominated by the Social Innovation Research Director at Cambridge University), writing a book, and working with business leaders and executive MBA students - with as a result key insights and a straightforward framework to help companies create impact most effectively across the UN SDGs (our key global issues).
