Latest Chapter in Argentina Brings Organization’s Total to 12 Chapters Worldwide

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., September 26, 2017 / Women in Localization (W.L.), the leading professional organization for women in the localization industry, is delighted to announce the launch of a new Chapter in Argentina, the first Chapter in Latin America.

Leading the new Argentina Chapter is Virginia Minhondo, who currently works as the  COO at delsurtranslations.  As the Chapter Manager, Virginia is working to solidify the new Chapter leadership team and event schedule effective immediately.

Cecilia Maldonado, Women in Localization Geo Manager for the Americas chapters, will partner with the new Argentina chapter to ensure that this launch is as successful as the other Women in Localization chapters in the Americas. “A few months ago, I was tasked with the strategic direction for Women in Localization in the Americas. It is so rewarding to see the interest from localization professionals in Latin America.  We will be leveraging some of the same sources of inspiration and leadership methodologies seen across W.L. entities. I am confident that this chapter will create a platform for networking, mentoring, and learning that is specific to the needs of this region. I look forward to seeing how it all develops, and being there to help shape it”, expands Cecilia Maldonado.
