Carrie Fischer | Globalization Services Manager, Subway
Carrie is the Globalization Services Manager at Subway, headquartered in Milford, CT. She is responsible for all globalization-related strategies for the company. She has over 28 years of localization experience and has held previous localization positions at Bodybuilding.com, Hyperion/Oracle, and Transparent Language. She is the 2023 President of Women in Localization, the co-chair of the Women in Leadership ERG and a mentor.

Andrea Perdue | Team Lead, Language Services, Smartling
With a passion for languages and cultures, Andrea has been working in localization since 2009. She began her career as a French to English translator before moving into a project manager role in 2012 at a startup in San Francisco. She went on to work for one of the largest language service providers in the industry as a senior project manager before joining Smartling in 2021. She is now Team Lead for Smartling Language Services.
Valérie Dehant | Senior Director of Language Services, Smartling
Valérie started her 25-year career in localization as a freelance translator specializing in medical content. After a few years, she joined SDL’s Montreal operations as an in-house translator and subsequently led their life sciences translation team. Valérie joined Smartling in 2014 and quickly became instrumental in growing the Language Services business. She first led service delivery operations and is now senior director of Languages Services and focuses on vendor management and quality management.
