Working closely with the Program Manager - Content and Social Media and the extended social media team, this role is responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving written social media content for Women in Localization. It’s an exciting role for someone looking to gain experience working with creative agencies, marketing, content creation and social media.

Responsibilities:

- Reviewing social media content in Trello and correcting and refining the content to ensure it is grammatically correct and meets W.L. brand, style and content expectations prior to publication.
- Reviewing social media image content for accuracy in Canva and providing feedback in Trello.
- Works closely with the Program Manager Content & Social Media, Social Media Traffic Managers and Women in Localization’s agency to offer suggestions to improve posts and written content.
- Ensures social media content conveys the mission of the organization in an accurate, professional way.
- Contribute to writing and editing W.L. blogs and press releases on an as needed basis.

Requirements:
- An active member of Women in Localization or proven interest in becoming one.
- Native English proficiency.
- Creatively gifted with an interest in marketing and social media management for a non-profit organization.
- Skilled writer, with experience creating content for social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X) and longer form content.
- Experience with Trello, Canva and project management are a plus.
- Collaborative and strong attention to detail required.
- Is comfortable with Mailchimp, Canva, Eventbrite and any other W.L. approved tools/channels used for the management of creative assets.

Commitment Expected:
- We recommend that volunteers commit to a 2 year term.
- 4-6 hours/week reviewing content and providing feedback.
- Availability for monthly Marketing All-Hands meetings (1 hour/month).

Location: Anywhere

Women in Localization is recruiting volunteers who will provide engagement management support for our sponsors. No previous experience needed, as we will provide on-the-job training. Strategic engagement management in localization, digital marketing or tech, is a plus. Needs to be friendly and confident interacting with VP+ level sponsors. You will have excellent organizational, written and verbal skills and the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and organize databases and information.

Responsibilities:

- Work with program volunteer staff to ensure on-time submission of sponsorship packages
- Manage a defined portfolio of existing sponsors as well as prospects to ensure proper cultivation, maintenance, and solicitation
- Coordinate with sponsorship, marketing and technology teams within W.L. and our sponsors to ensure that fund processing, sponsorship acknowledgments, and PR content are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Handle sponsor complaints, convey appropriate solutions and alternatives provided by the team within the time limits; follow-up to ensure resolution
- Additional activities to support the sponsorship program as we grow

Commitment Expected: Available to participate in bi-weekly calls (1 hour); Average 1-2 hours per week commitment; At least 1-year term, more if desired

- Own and manage a designated tool utilized by other Women in Localization volunteers. Serve as a technology liaison with our US-based and international chapters
