The Compliance Manager will execute various processes and projects related to non-profit compliance under the direction of the Board Sponsor and Program Director. The Compliance Manager will be expected to interface with volunteers at all levels of the organization and display a high degree of professionalism. Required skills include research skills, risk anticipation and management, organized and detail-oriented (and ready to switch gears when a pressing compliance issue arises!), public speaking skills, and presentation and communication skills. Knowledge of corporate governance and non-profits are a plus (but we can teach you!).Responsibilities:
The role will mainly involve researching issues related to compliance. In the past, this has included looking IRS requirements, international NGO law, the trademark process, etc. The Compliance Manager will be expected to present their findings to the rest of the organization.
