In our “book buzz” series we will have a Fireside chat with Sören Eberhardt and uncover his journey while writing the “The Little Book of Localization”.
The Little Book of Localization is a practical and comprehensive guide to localization, the process of adapting products and services to meet the linguistic, cultural, and technical requirements of specific markets around the world.

This event will be hosted and moderated by the Events and Content team within Global Community and the Chapters and Global Growth Programs at Women in Localization.
Speaker:
Sören Eberhardt is a Senior Product Manager at Microsoft. He has been working in the field of internationalization and localization for over 25 years, both on the vendor and client side and in different roles: as translator, localization engineer and program manager. He has taught localization classes at the University of Washington, the University of Limerick and CUNY and classes on computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools at NYU and Montclair State University. The language with the fewest speakers he has ever localized a product for is Inuktitut.
🔴 This live event will be hosted on Zoom and it will be recorded. It’s free to attend but you have to register through Eventbrite so we can email you the Zoom login details.
The event is open to everyone but the recording will only be available to Women in Localization members.
