WLDE: Inclusive Language in Localization – Challenges and Best Practices

September 17, 2019 @ 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM

Description

Gender inclusivity and sensitivity to cultural diversity have become a staple of content creation and marketing in many industries. In the language industry, the principle of inclusivity creates unique challenges as content is being localized across many languages and markets, each with their own cultural requirements and nuances.

Babbel’s content strategy team will share with us their journey towards making inclusive language a core principle in the localization process: How can all users of a digital product feel welcome and supported? And how can localization professionals help ensure inclusion is a key company value?

The Babbel team will explain how they navigate language-specific constraints, approach cultural and technical challenges, and help make inclusive language central to how the organization meets the needs of their diverse community of users.

Join us at the Babbel offices in Berlin or remotely via video conference, and engage in an open conversation about best practices for the creation of inclusive localized content.
