About this event

Language has always shaped the way we see the world. Today, in a context where DEI commitments are being challenged and corporate policies are shifting, the question of inclusive and accessible language is more urgent than ever.

This third and final panel brings together practitioners and experts from across the French, Italian, German, and Spanish-speaking localization communities for a cross-chapter fireside chat. Together, they will explore what inclusive language really means in practice: how it is defined, implemented, and defended inside organizations, and what role localization professionals can play in keeping the conversation alive.

From corporate commitments to bottom-up advocacy, from terminology governance to user impact, this session addresses the hard questions that language professionals, content strategists, and localization managers face when inclusivity meets organizational reality.

Join us to hear from practitioners who are doing the work, not just talking about it.

Program

45 minutes of discussion and exchange structured around two core themes:

Inclusive Terminology and Corporate Commitments
Is inclusivity the same as accessibility? How are leading organizations approaching inclusive language today, and is it a core business matter? What does the landscape look like across Germany, Italy, and beyond, and how does inclusive language translate into measurable user engagement?

Language as a Driver of Change
What is the role of language in building more inclusive communities? How do localization and content professionals advocate for change from within, navigate pushback, and bring leadership teams along? And what can we collectively do to move the discourse forward?

The session closes with an interactive Q&A.

Free and open to all | Session conducted in English
