WLPNW: Education and Beyond…Finding your Best Localization Career Track
October 21, 2022 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
In today’s competitive, professional environment, it seems that having a specialized academic background is a must for accessing the best career opportunities. Does that also hold true in the localization industry?
Do individuals with some sort of degree in translation/localization or a localization focused project management certification have a better chance of landing a good job in this industry? We want to have a lively and open dialogue about career opportunities in the localization industry and the educational programs and qualifications required to achieve them. Let’s talk to members of academia, both instructors and students, learn from their experiences, and hear firsthand what they recommend and what they wish they had known before getting involved in the industry.
