WLSV: Words matter more than ever… Inclusive language in action

February 24, 2021 @ 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Pacific Northwest and Silicon Valley chapters joined forces for this much anticipated follow up event about inclusivity and language!

Words matter more than ever… Inclusive language in action

Words have consequences. Our choice of words is a conscious way to shape the world.

Awareness of cultural perspectives and inclusive communication are helping evolve our empathy, but beyond that, the success of brands and products depend upon how they engage with their audience, and localization plays a critical role in their engagement.

Please join us virtually for an interactive panel on Feb 24, 2021, 11:30 – 12:30pm PDT

Our session will focus on best practices and resources that companies and brands are specifically developing to bring a consistent approach to inclusive language. We will discuss with our panelists how to actionably implement real programs and frameworks with inclusive language in mind, from global readiness, to education, to recommendations on what not to do.

Our panelists

Bernadette Kelly, Localization Product Manager at Microsoft

Lyena Solomon, Director, Localization at ServiceNow

Raffaele Pascale, Program Manager & LGBT+ Ambassador at Venga Global
