SUNNYVALE, California, USA, September 12, 2024. Women in Localization (W.L.), the leading professional organization for women in the localization industry, is excited to announce the launch of a new chapter in Türkiye. This will be W.L.’s thirty-second (32nd) chapter.
Leading Women in Localization Türkiye is Chapter Manager, Olga Hergül, from Şişecam. She is joined by Events Manager, Meylin Wang, from Oxo Innovation, Marketing Manager, Fulya Kaplan, from Sony Electronics, Membership Managers, İrem Koçaslan, from Motaword, and Büşra Gündoğdu Düzgün, from HighTech Passport, Mentorship and Education Manager, Işın Öner from Istanbul 29 Mayıs University, Social Media Managers, İrem Eribol, from Ollang, and Sıla Alan, a freelance translator, and Sponsorship Manager, Nilüfer Aksu, from Hogarth.

The chapter’s inaugural event will take place on September 22, 2024, with details to be announced on LinkedIn. The event will introduce the organization, its goals, and the Türkiye leadership team and will feature a panel discussion on how W.L. is relevant to localization professionals in Türkiye.
