WL CAT – The role of Women in Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence is one of the buzz words today in the Localization arena, and it is here to stay.

• What is the role of AI in our ecosystem in the next 2, 5 and 10 years?
• What new business opportunities are there for us in AI?
• With AI, are we going through a new quantum leap in localization, same as we did 20 years ago with Translation Memories or 10 years ago with Machine Translation?
• What do we need to know about AI to develop better digital literacies? … And to protect our digital identity and our cybersecurity at work?… And to generate a more ethical society in the AI Era?
• How does gender bias infer in AI? How can we minimize it? What are the main challenges if we don’t act in time?
• What should be the role of women in the AI educational sector?… And in the AI industries?…In AI regulation and law?
• In the age of total convergence and singularity through AI, we may well be the last generation of un-augmented humans – what does the human talent (r)evolution look like?

We suggest a panel of experts for discussing in deep the different aspects that will affect women’s relationship with AI in a very near future:

La intel·ligència artificial és un dels mots de moda en el camp de localització, i ha vingut per quedar-se.

• Quin serà el paper de l’IA en el nostre ecosistema en els pròxims 2, 5 i 10 anys?
• Quines oportunitats de negoci noves tindrem gràcies a l’IA?
• Amb IA, veurem un nou salt quantitatiu en la localització comparable al de fa 20 anys amb les memòries de traducció o al de fa 10 anys amb la traducció automàtica?
• Com pot influir l’IA en el desenvolupament de millors alfabetitzacions digitals? … I en la protecció de la nostra identitat digital i la ciberseguretat a la feina?… I en la generació d’una societat més ètica dins de l’era IA?
• Com infereix el biaix de gènere en l’AI? Com es pot minimitzar? Quins són els principals reptes que tindrem si no actuem a temps? Quina hauria de ser la funció de les dones en l’AI aplicada al sector educatiu, a les indústries o a la regulació i la legislació?
• A l’edat de singularitat i la convergència total a través de l’IA, podríem ser la darrera generació d’humans no augmentats… en aquest context, com es presenta l’evolució (o revolució) del talent humà?
