Women in Localization (W.L.), the leading professional organization for women in the localization industry is excited to announce the launch of a new chapter in our mission to bring our community to our members throughout the globe. Portugal will be W.L.’s 30th chapter.
Leading Women in Localization Portugal is Chapter Manager Marta Boer from Tale International. She is joined by Event Manager, Dulce Vaz, Freelance Translation and Localization Specialist; Membership Manager, Agata Szubstarska, from Summa Linguae Technologies; Mentorship and Education Manager, Rita Menezes, Independent Translator and Researcher; Social Media Manager, Sara Reis, Freelance Localisation and DTP Specialist; Marketing Manager, Ana Sofia Correia, Freelance Medical Translator and Writer; and Sponsorship Manager, Helena Sanhudo, from Adverbum International.

The inaugural event for the Portugal Chapter will be held on October 10, 2024. The event will introduce Women in Localization and its goals, the Portugal leadership team and offer a panel discussion on how W.L. is relevant to localization professionals in each country.
