A New Program from Women in Localization to Support Our Global Community

At Women in Localization (W.L.), we believe that strong communities are built not only through shared knowledge and professional development, but also through empathy, compassion, and support. That’s why we’re excited to announce the launch of a brand-new initiative for our members in 2025: our Mental Health & Wellness (MH&W) Program.

This initiative is designed to create meaningful conversations around mental well-being, build resilience in our community, and offer practical support for the daily challenges many of us face at work and beyond.

🌱 A Powerful Start in Q1

We kicked things off in March with a moving and inspiring event titled “The Successful Woman’s Wake-Up Call,” hosted by W.L.’s Global Community. The session featured Lamiaa Laurene Daif, Worldwide Growth Strategy Leader for Mac and iPad at Apple, an Executive and Business Coach, and an award-winning keynote speaker. Lamiaa shared her deeply personal journey through autoimmune illness and how it sparked a transformational shift in her approach to her own mental health and wellness.

🧠 Coming Up in May – Mental Health Awareness Month

To mark International Mental Health Awareness Month, W.L. is honored to welcome Lisa Dion, an internationally recognized teacher and founder of the Synergetic Play Therapy Institute. In an open, one-hour discussion hosted by Ludmila Golovine, Lisa will talk about the everyday mental health challenges we all face and how to meet them with compassion and courage.

Stay tuned for event details and how to register, this is one you won’t want to miss.

🧘 What’s Next? Our MH&W Program Launches This Fall

We’re just getting started. Beginning September 2025, we’re rolling out a comprehensive Mental Health & Wellness Program that will run through May 2026. Each week, we’ll offer new, engaging, and supportive content from workshops and safe space gatherings to expert-led wellness sessions. Topics we’ll explore include:

  • Money as a Source of Stress – and how to manage financial anxiety
  • Working in Isolation – tips for staying connected while working from home
  • Building Resilience – especially during uncertain times
  • Fear Management – how to take charge of your fears before they take charge of you
  • Gratitude and Celebration – learning how to pause, reflect, and celebrate your wins

You’ll also meet our incredible team of Wellness Ambassadors: yoga teachers, mindset coaches, meditation guides, #IamRemarkable facilitators, psychologists, and more, who will offer practical guidance like:

  • Stretches and breathing exercises to reduce back pain and stress
  • Mindful approaches to networking and goal setting
  • Advice on creating healthy financial habits
  • Tools to boost confidence and calm

🤝 Creating Safe Spaces to Talk About the Hard Stuff

One of the cornerstones of the MH&W Program is our Safe Spaces Initiative – closed, W.L. members-only sessions that offer a confidential, non-judgmental environment to talk about sensitive topics like divorce, career-parenting balance, and navigating personal loss or burnout. These sessions will not be recorded, and your privacy will always be respected.

We believe that no one should have to struggle in silence, and these spaces are here to remind you that you’re not alone.
